A stress-free experience for board members and administrators
With 24 board meetings held each year and up to 22 board packs produced for each meeting, it typically took the administration team a day to prepare and collate the documents that then needed to be delivered to board members by mail. JLT found the process to be very costly, and time consuming. After seeing the efficiencies gained by other JLT offices in London and Hong Kong, it was decided that BoardPad should also be used in Australia.
JLT had a number of essential components that had to be fulfilled when implementing an electronic solution, including cost-effectiveness, ongoing reliable support and an intuitive and easy to use for administrators and board members. There was some initial concerns around the management of users and security of information from board members, so the BoardPad team worked with JLT to ensure that board members were configured correctly and complied with JLT’s security standards.

From a meeting organiser’s perspective
The meeting organisers at JLT are pleased with BoardPad and the amount of time it now takes to produce board packs. It has simplified the entire process, considerably reducing the printing and distribution costs. “As an administrator I appreciate how much easier and less time consuming it is to compile the agenda and reports. It is flexible and forgiving which results in less stress and a more efficient process”, says Jenny.
The shift to an electronic boardroom has greatly increased the efficiency of both the administration team and the board. Meeting organisers can quickly compile and distribute board packs directly to board members’ devices, allowing them to focus on other important tasks.
